Maquinaturalis

Toplap MX presents Maquinaturalis” the first online virtual group exhibition of artists from Latin America who question the relationship between humans and machine learning, and explore the impact of virtual interactions between users and web browsers.

Maquinaturalis” includes newly site-specific works by interdisciplinary artists who are having their virtual exhibition debuts, such as Fabiola Larios, Moises Sanabria and Helio Santos Sanchez. We are a space that seeks to explore and promote Live Coding and its aspects, as well as the dialogue between art and technology, the dissemination of free knowledge, creative code and audiovisual practices with programming.

Mexico has a community of more than 10 years in the practice of Live Coding, germinated in the Multimedia Center, where the dissemination of different tools, perspectives and methodologies for the creative code applied to the arts, concerts, outreach events, discussions, generation of reflections and texts, they remain the backbone in the celebration of showing the screens and imagining new ways of creating by programming.

TOPLAP (Transdimensional Organization for the Parsimony of Live Algorithm Programming) has been collectively developing, exploring and promoting live coding since it formed in a smoky bar in Hamburg in 2004.

Malitzin Cortés

Her work is developed between live coding, live cinema, installation, Virtual Reality, generative art, sound design, experimental music and sound art. She is a teacher and researcher at CENTRO University. design, cinema and television and at the UNAM Faculty of Arts, in the field of creative code, STEAM and new sound and immersive technologies.

He has performed live events and exhibitions at the Multimedia Center, Alameda Art Laboratory, Ex-Teresa Actual Art, Digital Cultural Center, Medialab Prado, Spain Cultural Center, CMMAS, Vorspiel, Spektrum Berlin, Transpiksel, Aural, Transmediale Berlin, ISEA, CYLAND MediaArtLab San Petesburgo, ADAF, Ars Electronica, Currents, MUTEK México, Montreal and San Francisco.

CNDSD's sound proposal is conceived in an experimental environment and cross-border musical exercises: granular landscapes, algorithmic vocal experiments, hypnotic noise improvisations, live coding and asymmetric patterns. As an artist, she investigates the ways in which art, architecture, technology, and science have the capacity to be great disseminators of findings and devices for self-reflection and generation of unpublished models of social interactions capable of providing new ways of relating from the utopia, speculation, physical space, reality, the constant state of crisis and also hope.
